After doing this prayer “divorcing” and breaking off each principality- I had more deliverance in 4 days going through the list for this prayer, than I had experienced in a year and a half in private deliverance sessions. God is good and He always keeps His promises! The breakthrough always comes. Keep going, keep going, keep going.

This prayer post is based off of a Bride Ministries prayer, that I myself experienced in a deliverance session in ministry. Some parts are adapted and modified, based on what the Lord revealed to me through doing this prayer over 60 times. It was such an effective prayer in my personal deliverance session in lessening the enemies access to me, that I then went home and spent several more days combing through the prayer. In deliverance, curses are best destroyed by pulling them up at the root. However, when it comes to principalities and demons, the opposite is often the most effective strategy. When looking at freeing yourself from the demonic, you need to work from the highest ranking being, downward. Once you successfully break all rights that these beings claim to have over you, you can then use forceful commands to remove them from your daily life. What these “rights” are that the enemy can claim is vast, and will be an educational post I’ll make in the future.

Why in deliverance ministry should you start with the higher-ranking beings first, and not the weaker ones under them? This is due to how spiritual authority is structured. When satan was cast out of Heaven, he essentially replicated the kingdom and authority structure of God. Most principalities are fallen angels. When satan rebelled against God, it is written that about 1/3 of Heaven fell with him. The bible describes this in Revelation 12 in more detail. “The Woman” represents Israel and it’s 12 tribes. “The Child” is Jesus Christ. “The Dragon” or the “Ancient Serpent” represents satan.

Revelation 12:1-6- The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon

1 Then a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and with the moon under her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was screaming in labor pains, struggling to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: a huge red dragon that had seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadem crowns. 4 Now the dragon’s tail swept away a third of the stars in heaven and hurled them to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child as soon as it was born. 5 So the woman gave birth to a son, a male child, who is going to rule over all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was suddenly caught up to God and to his throne, 6 and she fled into the wilderness where a place had been prepared for her by God, so she could be taken care of for 1,260 days.

Revelation Chapter 12

As satan was on Earth, he established an authority structure in his kingdom. Most angels became principalities. These are higher-ranking spirits that rule over territories and use the fragmented parts of human beings to gain power, control, and influence. How is this so? Fragmentation occurs during trauma. When we are traumatized or disassociated, a part of our soul “breaks off.” This is how alter personalities can form. However, fragmented parts are actually very subtle and most people have them. A simpler way to think about them is like “pockets” of overwhelming pain, fear, and ungodly emotions, that separated from your soul in a moment of trauma. This is where the principalities come in. In the spiritual realm, fragmented parts of someone’s soul are treated as “currency.” This is something I observed myself in ministry. However, I also had God directly tell me this. The demons (evil/unclean spirits) take these fragmented parts of peoples soul and barter, sell, and trade them in the spiritual realm for power and ranking changes. All demons operate under a demonic kingdom, with the strongman as their leader. However, these kingdoms also work with principalities. Principalities have their own realms, in which they collect the fragmented parts of many peoples beings (think hundreds of thousands or millions). They use these fragmented parts of our life force as power sources. When in their possession, these fragmented parts also cause the demons to “claim” a right to access, manipulate, and influence an individual.

Breakthrough Thought: One of Jesus Christ’s purposes was to set the captives free. There are neither heights nor depths, angels nor demons, that can ever separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:38). There is also no principality or demon that could have a part of your being, that if the Lord willed wouldn’t be returned to you if you prayed and asked. Repenting for the sins that led to fragmentation (either done against us, or that we did) and formally going to God at the Courts of Heaven is an important start. It is the Lord’s will for His children to be made whole.

Tips from my personal deliverance for this prayer:

Start by asking the Lord if there are any specific principalities that you need to renounce. Always begin with seeking the Lord, and with what He directly says to you. If you are unsure, read the list and see if you have any promptings from the Holy Spirit on specific names, or any ungodly reactions to reading any specific names.
When I went through the process. I asked the Lord if I should do any particular names on the list. I heard Him say several times that he wanted me to do the entire list. The order I went in was based on the names the Lord specifically revealed, one at a time. I then wrote down the names on a piece of paper. I did one at a time, as the Lord instructed me to not put the entire list in the blank, all at once. You will see why, as renouncing each principality is going to bring different manifestations. There is also a chance you may feel fatigued after a few, as you are in a spiritual war.
Next to each name, I wrote down if I experienced any expulsions (demons coming up, phlegm, yawns, gas, water coming out of your ears, etc.). I also wrote down if I noticed anything in particular (hearing things break in the spiritual; resistance/difficulty saying certain sentences; expulsion when I said a certain phrase). The Lord showed me a pattern: If I had a part of me come back from the “region of captivity” of a principality, there was almost always some sort of reaction when I got to the line of renouncing “spirit children.” The Lord revealed to me why, in which I will turn into a separate lesson/prayer.

“Father in Heaven I come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and I renounce ___________________ and serve them a bill of divorce. I pull up the hidden documents detailing every covenant, contract and oath entangling us and command that they be stamped with the blood of Jesus.

In the name of Jesus, I pray that Your heavenly hosts would be put on assignment to place every (alter/part in me) that is loyal to ________________ on temporary lock-down. I pray that those parts would be put to sleep.

I now deed ____________________’s territory in me over to the kingdom of God and I invite You, Lord Jesus, to take the throne and begin to rule over this territory with your rod of iron.

In the name of Jesus I now bind all gatekeepers and discover each and every portal access point belonging to _______________________, their realm and their inheritance.

I place the blood of Jesus upon every portal access point and I seal them with the Holy Spirit. I declare that they are put to sleep and permanently deactivated from this day forward.

I take the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God and I cut myself free from ___________________, their realm and their inheritance in Jesus’ name.

I return every form of counterfeit inheritance inclusive of promised wealth, position, status, calling, ability, power, genetic code, seed, and any other form of counterfeit inheritance in Jesus’ name. I refuse it and sever myself from it and from this day forward I choose to receive my inheritance in Jesus Christ. I renounce all spirit children related to _________________ and undo all quantum entanglements involved in their creation. I command their judgment, and the purging of the realms they occupy by judgment through living water. I also reclaim every part of me that has been imprisoned by ______________________ or in their realm.

I appeal to justice according to Galatians 6:7 which declares that as a man sows, so shall he reap. I pray that _____________________ would now reap a hundred fold return for all of the evil sown against me, my ancestors, and all whom I represent in the form of justice and judgment and wrath, arrows and lightning, hail stones, tsunamis of living water, and plundering by the armies of heaven, in Jesus’ name.

I now take authority over every evil spirit on the inside of me and around me that has been operating under the authority of ___________________. I declare that you are discovered, apprehended, bound, pierced through, and thrust out of me for judgment. I declare that you are being sent to the abyss for failed assignment.

Lastly, I pray that every spiritual object, tattoo, device, label, marker, power source, grid, seal, branding, and anything ungodly placed in or around every part of me by _______________ or those under their authority would be consumed in the holy fire of Jesus Christ and totally dissolved. Lord Jesus, I pray that You would cause ______________________’s memory to perish regarding every part of me and my seed.

I ask for Jesus Christ to take all of these parts to heavenly places, to be ministered to according to Your will. Holy Spirit fill all vacated places left by the parts. I loose new godly dwelling places where these parts used to be, and I ask Jesus Christ to occupy them with His rod of iron. I transfer all ownership of these rooms to Jesus Christ, and to the Kingdom of Heaven.”
