Prayer Over Your Home/Apartment Unit- Securing Territory Through Jesus Christ
Each day, we go about the day in both the physical realm and the spiritual realm. We are three-part beings (blog post here). Our soul is involved in our daily thoughts, feelings, and our will. While our physical body (the flesh) is going about the day, our spirit is walking and engaging in the spiritual realm. The spiritual influences the physical. What happens in the spiritual manifests in the physical. The Lord has revealed to me that things happen in the spiritual first. For example, God is a Spirit and we are made in His image (John 4:24; Genesis 1:27). In the beginning, when He spoke as The Spirit into the spiritual realm, creation (the physical) came into being. The spiritual gave birth to the physical, through the only one who brings creation into being- God.
When we go into buildings, there is the physical structure that we see with our human sight. However, there are also spiritual structures in place. It is the Lord’s will for us to claim spiritual territory for His kingdom, everywhere we go. It is His will for us to operate in alignment through our temple (body, soul, spirit), so that the territories that we step into and pray over are radically transformed by the Lord, through the power of His Holy Spirit. This prayer secures the territory for you to rest, praise the Lord, work, raise your family/pet, and be at peace. You have the authority to do so as a blood bought believer. So, stand in it. You can pray this over your place of dwelling (home, apartment, etc.). You can also pray this over your office, specific workplace at work (room, cubicle, station, etc.), and even your vehicle. You do not need to be in the territory to pray over it and secure it. There is no time and space in the spirit (John 4:51-53; Matthew 8:5-13).
Bible Verses on Authority Over Territory Through Christ:
Joshua 1:3 (NET)- “I am handing over to you every place you set foot, as I promised Moses.”
Deuteronomy 1:8 (NET)- “Look! I have already given the land to you. Go, occupy the territory that I, the Lord , promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and to their descendants.”
Exodus 23:31 (NET)- “I will set your boundaries from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the River, for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you.”
Recommended: Pray this when the Holy Spirit prompts you. This is also a great prayer to pray once a day when waking up, or before going to sleep. It secures your space.
“Lord, I dedicate this (home/apartment/workplace) to you. I speak over everything in this (home/apartment/workplace), and I declare and decree out loud into the spiritual realm that I have a legal right to be here. This is my territory. It is my space. I declare and decree that I am seated in Christ Jesus in the heavenlies, and I war from there. I look down on my enemies. I look up to the Father and I ask the Father: “Would you please set up a portal from the 3rd Heaven all the way down into this (home/apartment/workplace) ?” I bind, I mute, and I gag every demon in the sphere of my metron in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I command them out of this (home/apartment/workplace), in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I set up a wall of fire, and I ask the Lord to call down fire just like Elijah did. I ask the Lord to dispatch angels on assignment for me, and for all of those made in Your image who live here. I ask for warring angels, worshipping angels, guardian angels, and all types of angels according to your will, to be stationed around this portal, the entry/exit points, and the territory in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I decree that this (home/apartment/workplace) is holy ground and a sanctuary for those made in God’s image. It has transitioned to be under the shadow of the Ancient of Days wings. I build in the spirit realm a smoke screen, acting like a sight and sound barrier, against every evil spirit, interloper, and satanic agent in the name of Jesus. I cleanse this space with the fire of God and the blood of Christ, above the Earth, beneath the Earth, in all realms, dimensions, time, and space.”
